Hi-Fly attended AFRAA 2009

Hi-Fly was present at the Afraa 41st annual general Assembly in Maputo Mozambique from the 22nd to the 24th of November 2009.

The theme this year was “succeeding in challenging time”

A great opportunity for us to interact with some 300 delegates of the industry.


 

Various subjects were discussed such as safety, foreign carrier invasion, slow progress on liberalisation and the need for greater African airlines cooperation.

The new executives elected are Mr Tokoph from Interair South Africa as Chairman and Mr Wake from Ethiopian Airlines as President. The 42th Afraa AGA will then happen next year in Ethiopia.

The conference was also marked by the farewell of Christian Folly Kossi after two unforgettable mandates as Secretary General of Afraa. He is now replaced by Africa's finest and globally respected aviation consultant Nick Fadugba, CEO & Publisher of African Aviation.
